Women can transform the world, as we celebrate the women’s day on 8th March 2025, A proud moment for Ladakh as Dr. Tsering Palmo recieving the award “Outstanding Women in Buddhism Awards ” in Indonesia.
To mention she had done countless work towards women by empowering the women in every step after founded the Ladakh Nuns Association in 1996 which has been supporting nuns and nunneries of the Ladakh region. Dr. Palmo had been devoted from the beginning towards empowering the nuns and lay women in every field of education, conducting workshop, providing the nuns by building nunneries till it’s shaped and grown in all directions. Beside that she had done immense work on transferring knowledge/ trainings/ internship in Tibetan Medicine, conservation of spiritual studies, local endemic medicinal herb collection for different formulation of Amchi medicine.
Following are major fields in which she made contributions in the society of Ladakh.
